I just traded my Whites DFX for an F-75. Delivery is due on Friday. I have to use my old faithful, a Whites Eagle Spectrum. I was in a field just outside of Williamsburg,Va. I knew the field was hunted many times. I started where the owner said he found dropped bullets on top of the ground. After a few minutes of slow hunting, I started finding a few bullets, buttons, and other civil war stuff. Then in the middle of the field, I heard a solid sound, dug it up, and knew that I had found a colonial copper. When I got it home and cleaned it, it was in bad shape. I could make out some of the markings. I saw a coin on the forum that Bill found, but it only showed the front. I went to the curator of colonial Williamsburg Foundation today, and he knew what it was at first glance. I had found a 1678 Scottish copper. This is my oldest find to date.:detecting:

You will really have fun at that spot with your new F-75. It's hot and deep. Congrats on your old coin. Even beat up it still givew you a thrill.
