Short spin had to meet up with our Daughter in Tampa. Hunted from 6:20pm till 8o pm. Meet older gent. had waders on 20 years old . He told me he used to get over 30 rings a month back when he first started hunting.Said he found two this month, just to many MDs on beach for him.

I went to Boca to visit my Mom at christmas,I got up early went to a couple of local beaches,Deerfield and vicinity and I couldn't believe the amount of people with machines.I'm 53 yrs. old and had a machine since my early 20's .I can remember going out on land and woods ,we never hunted the beach,and like your acquaintance a good day would be 20 -30 assorted silver coins and occasional ring or two.

Wife and I got there around 7PM but started on the souhthside by the Jetty. All we found was was 30 cents and a couple of dozen bottle caps. Seems the pirates cleaned up the beach too.

I was north of the pier behind Rockaways,The water is still to cold to stay in long without wet suite. I'll be back down that way in the next few weeks. Where are all the spring breakers? (Mexico)

Bob , when you were in Boca and Deerfield did you see allot of people in the water or dry sanding? I have owned a MD for 36 years today my wife of 38 years bought me my first MD for my birthday.But I never got into the water until last year. I can't even imagine how much loot I let pass me by.

I saw most hunting the dry stuff. I think your gonna be suprised how much is in the water.I'm convinced there's more loot in the drink.

I thought the same thing. Last week it wasnt too bad. Most of the colleges were out then. We met alot of nice people down for break. This week it seems to be more of the local schools out on break. My daughter has her High School break next week.
