I broke down and bought an environmental cover for my 705 off the bay. I bought from the place over in England and gotta say it is worth the $28 it cost me, mostly because it has a velcro cover that allows the batteries to be removed or changed without removing the cover. No financial connections whatever, just thought people should know that if you're as frustrated as I was, there is another option. If you need the name of the outfit I dealt with, PM me, however, it has been posted here before and a search ought to bring it up.

Mine does not have velcro though got mine today . It would be nice if it did though.
