Got out to a very friendly couple's old farmhouse for a day of detecting. I was there earlier in the week but they had a dog fence so the EMI was off the hook but my buddy and I gave them all that we did find and they were so happy seeing all the cool stuff that came from their property that they turned the fence off for us. Incredible difference as you probably already know. We did pretty good. I love the capability of how the Deus can change with conditions in one yard. Up front the ground was hard and very trashy with lots of iron. On the side the ground got very soft yet I did get a Crotal bell that was way deep ( not pictured). The fork isn't sterling but I love the pattern on it. The top row of coins is a nice 2 piece button with a deer on it. An aluminum coin of 20 Centimes from Luxembourg, a 1917 Canadian Large Cent ( one of 4 we found this week. things come in clumps sometimes), a very heavy batwing buckle and 2 silver dimes and 2 IH's. Took about 4 and half hours of trying to be as thourough (sp) detecting as possible. As fast as the Deus reactivity is I still have to go very slowly in order to hear the good squeaks in between the iron. It is amazing how much iron there is in all these old farm houses. I should have taken pictures of all the junk that it took to find these just to show the newbies that you still have to dig a lot of targets to get some good ones.
