Today was the 4th annual here in Ocean City NJ. I run the Hunt....we had a great turnout this year we had 13 two person teams....and the idea is to go out and hunt the beaches anywhere in the ocean city limits...on a time limit of course. there is a mid-hunt checkin and a final weigh-in time where the competing teams go head to head with their finds for 5 top Cash purses. we had a great time with some nice finds too....Here are the pics......
These are the teams in a group shot before the hunt....

I have been to each of these hunts and each year they get better and better and more people are added to the list of participants. This year the conditions weren't as good as last year but there was still some stuff to be found. The weather was good and the rain held off and all were having a good time. Just a great time to get together with your friends and just have some good old fashion fun and the competition factor was added in and it was just an all around great day. Good seeing the Mid Jersey guys and gals there too!

It was built for me by Charles, I had to make some small changes, Our Straight Shaft(BeachComber Lightning Rod), Sun Ray X12 coil, Sun Ray Battery.

I had a great time....Thanks Brian.

Have a great time. Even though me and my partner did not place, the gold sure makes up for that.

The condition were bleak, but the HEAT was up to the task. You never know what you can find. Hunt hard and slow the targets will come.

It was cold and windy, but Jim Philly and I placing 2nd in the contest took the chill off. There were not a lot of targets, but they came in small groups about midpoint in the wet sand, you just had to find one and stick with it until there were no more targets. Everybody seemed to be bunched up in groups on the beach it was just a matter of good luck to find the target zone. This is always a good hunt and Sunday was no exception. hh sjcoinhtr
