Nice 14k with diamonds & Two 925 rings

First time out with the Xcal in almost a month, last couple hunts out were with the DF. Can't complain about the weather here, highs in the 80s and water temps are high 70s. The beaches are still being used by visitors and locals daily, which the beach vendors are more than pleased. Started the day at 7AM on the low tide and hunted till 1:30PM. Did not cover a lot of ground, meaning I hunted from shore to neck deep repeatedly but only covered maybe four hundred yards, or so, up the beach. I hunted in PP 99% of the time and targets were not plentiful, it would be so quite at times that the sound of a target in the headphones would startle me. I dug just about all signals that I got as you can see by all the trash, but coins, sinkers, cheap sunglasses, a 10 pybaen?? something coin, some junk earrings and the rings were also found. I must of had a dozen sheep head flanking me on both sides just about all day waiting for me to dig up something for them to eat. They would be in the hole after the first scoop looking. Besides the Sheep head I saw Snook, Bonnet head sharks, Sting & Butterfly Rays, small Pompano and Spanish Mackerel hitting the schools of bait off the sandbar...if you didn't know any better, you'ld think it was the beginning of summer!!
First ring found was the larger 925 ring that weighs 8.7g followed by the smaller 3.8g 925 with stones, those two rings were found in the morning hours. The 14k, 2.7g ring with diamonds is also stamped 1/2 TW and found around noon to make my day complete!! Another hour and a half spent afterwards was fun but produced only trash and coin. The 14k is my first water gold and my second gold ring this month............hope it's not the last! GL ALL

Nice hunt and finds. Any day with gold and silver is a good day. I am having a real dry spell. Even sterling has been quite elusive. My X-Cal is back in the shop AGAIN. So I am restricted to the sand.

Thanks George, good luck with that Xcal and finding some gold and silver
BHP....Thanks, here it is all cleaned up along with the other 2 rings, the 1/2 TW stamp and a couple of the sheep head that followed me all day....actually they follow all water hunters here.

Very nice rings and I particularly like the 14K ring! I love to clean rings up after finding them and putting the sparkle back on them!! Keep swinging those coils because it gives all of us a boost of enthusiasm as well:thumbup:

That's a great loot but are the snooks and spanish mackerels of any decent size?
Love to catch them on a fly.

Regards Kossie

Thanks Guys...I like to clean them up also, not a lot to do to the gold except wash out the sand and shell most of the time, but the silver really gets crusty and black so I usually dermal wire brush and polish. I think the well worn stone in the silver ring is a new high tech enhancement process, whereby a coating is applied that is stable and permanent to colorless quartz or topaz. I tried to straighten it out with the mandrel and split it.
*Kossie... The snook were small stragglers that most likely are headed for the canals and bays now after this cold front just hit. Water temps are ideal now for Mack's and Kings and they are good size this time of year....keepers to smokers.

Really nice finds! i'm sure you hated to leave and go home. Congrats!!
