Is that the Mark I that was on e-bay? It was a super clean one like the one in the picture. I put in a bid but was not enough.

Hi Harold,
No, This is a NIB TeKnetics 8000 made in the later 1980's i'm guessing. The Man I purchased it from
was selling his Dads leftover detector supply's after his father passed on. I believed he couldn't
get the unit to work because the battery tabs that contact the double A's had several broken. He
new nothing about the faulty Battery Clip design on the Older Tek. Models..... The "Original" Mark-1's
made by the Factory always had a Black bottom Case. The exception to this was the Parts Detector
that Keith Wills Made, I have only seen all Grey cased unit's for sale but he could have built some
unit's with the original Black and Grey color combination also!... I thank the lord for Keith, otherwise
us Mark-1 owners would have a problem with "finding" someone who has the knowledge and Parts to
repair our old Tek's

I was wondering because there was a super clean Mark I LTD on E-bay a couple of days ago. Like I said I put in a bid but it was not enough to win the machine. I would have bid more but I already own a Teknetics Hawk. I was looking for a Mark I at that time but there wasn't one to be found. I wish I would have waited a little bit longer.

Harold
How do you like your Hawk? It is basically an 8000 with a little change to the electronics.....

I have only took it out a couple of times till winter came. I like it pretty well,I just have to remember that it is an older machine and try not to compare it to hard to my E-trac which is probally the best silver coin machine ever made!
