ni cad batteries

Looking for some help. I want to use Ni CAd batt. for my machines but some people say the ni cad mh are better any feedback appreciated.

NiCAD batteries is 20 year old technology. They are rechargeable, but they don't have much shelf life for holding a charge. NiMH batteries is 10 year old technology. They still lose charge quickly sitting on a shelf, but they do hold a charge longer than NiCADs, NiMH Hybrids are the newest technology. They have a slightly lower capacity than NiMH, but a higher capacity than NiCADs. They hold up to 85% of their charge sitting on a shelf for 6 months. If you use NiCADs, I would charge them up before each time you use them. If you use NiMHs, then I would recharge them once a month. If you use NiMH Hybrids, then just use them until they run down to recharge them. I have 32 NiMH AA batteries and over 80 NiMH Hybrids that I use in my Metal Detectors (White's MXT and GMT) and my cameras and flashes. I threw away my NiCADs over 10 years ago.
