Hi all, I was looking at the Nexus website and I am wondering if these machines are really available. I haven't heard much about them but always curious about different machines. Thanks and good hunting everyone!

They have been for sale for a good few years John and on the right ground produce the goods. Though with the small coil size they can be used for coinshooting in parks, at the top of the beach etc but most buy them for relic/deep coin/hoard searches with the stock or a larger coil.

Hi Brian, thanks for the info. Are the claims on their website about depth compared to other brands valid? Do they just build their machines when ordered by customers? Ok Brian good hunting and be safe while at it.

Sorry not to have got straight back to you. Went away for a few days.

George was building them at home and the coils were hand built with a large percentage being binned at not totally up to spec.

I think that nowdays the construction is done in Bulgaria but I can't be certain, its just in the back of my mind.

If you don't require a full range discriminator and your ground is not to bad I think you would be able to obtain the depths quoted. I'm a little worried re bad ground because our (U.K.) bad ground is no where as bad as the bad U.S. sites.

I assume he is now holding stock but making up each order one at a time due to the variety of coils available. I'll try and find out for certain.

Hi Brian, many thanks for the info and yes if you can find out a little more about the company it would be interesting. His machines look to be quality in the photos, but one never knows. Ok Brian I will be sure to check back and hopefully you will have more info. So good hunting and be safe Brian.
