Next Question.....Can You use the same charger

Depends on the charger.

Some of the older slow chargers, maybe not. They don't sense anything and could over charge.

Newer smart chargers, would need to read the application notes to make sure, but probably OK for either.

I have a charger that I bought a few years back for model airplane applications that can charge from one to 12 cells, NiCads or NiMH. There are many more chargers available now and prices have come down too.
