what is the next coil i should purchase for my xt50,is it the 6" dd 18.75 khz or the 8"dd 18.75 khz for coins and jewellery.i really don't want the 10.5 coil. another question ,is there anyway to turn up the volume on a pinpointer .i have a bounty hunter pinpointer and when there's road noise you can't here the bludger.is there better ones with volume control on the market some where? beachbum42 [someone didn't like my old name of blowfly,so they gave a new one] hh

I really like my vibraprobe 560 as you don't need to worry about hearing it as you feel the vibration. Very simple to operate just tip it up and it turns on and also turns it self off afters a couple minutes. That 6" High freq coil is top notch and you should probably never be with out it. Now after telling you that I do have a 9" 18.75 KHz for sale and it is new. Let me know if you might be interested.

With a new username like beachbum42, I figure you are hunting beaches. As such, you might consider the 6 X 10 Elliptical DD at 18.75 kHz. Not that the 6-inch isn't a great coil. It is! But the length of the elliptical is much more, allowing for greater coverage. And at a width of 6-inches, (and being a DD design) it is basically the same sensitivity as the 6-inch DD. As to the 8-inch DD at 18,75 kHz you mentioned, they don't make one. The closest to that size, other than the two I've discussed, is the 9-inch at 18.75. And it is a concentric coil as opposed to being DD. One other consideration on the 6X10 DD, it is NOT waterproof. It is classified as water resistant. However, many guys have reported sealing the coil cover and the cable entrance point with silicon, and having good results. JMHO HH Randy
