Yup, I took my tester out today at work and hit his ring again with it and it was consistently showing solid "Pass" for diamond with no fail on the second test for Moissanite. The only thing I can think of is that the other morning, after being on the beach all night and TIRED as heck, we were accidentally hitting the gold next to the stones with the probe EVERY time we tested it...which WILL give a false negative reading.
Today, in better light and maybe steadier hands, it was good EVERY time. I knew the stones were real when I first saw it...blew me away when it appeared to fail the first time. Anyway, it's good! The 1 carat sparkler of mine though is still glass...no reading at all.
