Just in case anybody missed DeepDiger's fantastic discovery here in an unrelated thread, it appears there is indeed a BBS version of the 8x6 SEF coil now? I suspect this is a new thing , because in all my searching over the years I never saw mention of a BBS version, even on Detech's home page, and I know many have drooled over wanting one, such as I think if memory serves Mathias who has one for his Whites and mentioned he'd love to buy a BBS version. For that reason, I figured it would be worth mentioning this in a separate thread header, just in case anybody missed it in a thread that is on an unrelated coil...

I wonder, if it is reality that this coil exists in BBS, how it performs. Many seem to love it on the FBS units, but that can be a very different thing with coils on one platform versus another (just look at the problems the SEFs appear to have for some on certain other non-Minelab models). Still, it would be interesting to dive further into the FBS reports of this coil compared to the other small trash coils available for both it and BBS (such as the 5 or 6" Excelerators or the S-5/X-5, or even the FBS and BBS versions of the 7.25" Minelab Tornado coil). I get the impression the 6" Excelerator seems to be the go to coil for excellent depth and fantastic separation on the FBS units, but as said different coils can have very different abilities based on how well they translate to other platforms, even when talking BBS and FBS within one manufacturers line up of models...
