I am new to metal detecting(about 3 weeks). The other day I checked a vacant lot and found 2 1977 quarters and a 1977 Lamborghini matchbox car.

Welcome aboard Tom:

Glad to have you with us...The Finds just get better as you go...Soon you will find yourself dreaming of the next time you can get out and hunt...With it being Winter here in NY, I just can't wait for it to thaw enough so I can go out and play in the mud to find some loot...:clapping: Your going to dig your fair share of junk and Clad, but when you hit that silver or gold, your gonna be hooked for life...I have yet to find gold myself...I guess folks around my area super glue their rings to their fingers... I plan on hitting some of the beaches in our area come spring time...Hopefully this will bring some gold my way.

Keep on diggin'...The booty is just beneath the surface...:detecting:

MY DETECTOR IS A BOUNTY HUNTER DISCOVERY 3300. iT SEEMS TO BE A SUPER MACHINE. I PLAN TO TRY OUT THE BEACH THIS MONTH OF JANUARY 08.

I have not seen one up close and personal, but the Radio Shark line of the Bounty Hunters appears to be nice, and I have heard nothing but good tales from the Discoveries.

Happy Hunting,

BH-LandStar

Yes...as long as it is a Bounty Hunter, and it has the 5 pin socket, they will work...Same electronics, different looks....:)
You have the 4", 8" and 10" coils to choose from. I am still trying to determine if my 8" coil has a cover on it, as the top of the coil is rounded and not flat like my 505 coil was.
