Hi there. I am new to this "sport". I just purchased an Ace 250, and am eagerly awaiting the UPS driver dropping it off. I have been interested in this for years and finally jumped in. Looking forward to finding some treasure here in Washington State.

I got to tell you, you picked a great hobby to get into. I love my Ace 250!!! Its easy to use and no slouch when it comes to finding treasure!!!! Welcome aboard:detecting:!!!

welcome aboard!!!
I live on the wet side of the cascdes down here on the Big C.
Where abouts are you???

I live in Puyallup. It's an old town with I hope a lot of potential. I can't say I have ever seen anyone in my area MD'ing. Can't wait till it gets here!

Check Washington state laws before you dig. I seem to remember someone on another forum mentioning something about the law being strict about relics.

I have been looking into it quite a bit. There is a club close by, I think I need to join it and tap into their vast resource of knowledge.....
Thanks for the tip!

Welcome aboard from Canada

I just purchased mine and I'm hooked already and about $2.57 richer after going out twice for about an hour while learning how to use it.

You'll love the 250. You DVD will tell you to hunt in the all metal mode and dig it all. I suggest to set your sensitivity on 4 bars and run in the coin mode. Then dig ALL beeps. Then graduate up to the jewelry mode then to the relic mode after you have 50 hours under you belt.
Good advice. Starting in the all metal mode leads to instant frustration.

Bill
Good advice from a pro:thumbup:

Thanks for all the advice and encouragement. I just checked the tracking number and it wont be here till this Thursday:yikes: I guess it's on the slow boat.
