Hello every one, I am a new member and hence new to the hobby as well. I don't have anyone around to help me with it. I have not bought any detector yet but am willing to buy as soon as I get substantiate info about all products. I am getting a garrett gti 2500, I am gonna use it for coin / treasure search. Is it worth buying. And can it detect beneath stone or cement?

I would suggest buying the Ace 250 as your first machine. Yes, the 250 will detect through stone and concrete up to the limits of the machine. Meaning it's not going to pick up a dime through a 16 inch rock. Just like it's not going to beep on a 16 inch coin in the ground. Besides concrete usually has some type of reinforcement in the form of rebar or wire. But tell us why you want to search through concrete?

I agree with Khouse.

Detecting concrete with rebar will drive you mad:stars:

I stared out with a 1500 still have it, plus 5 more now. I think that's a good choice you made
good luck
