Hi I'm new at this site thought i join it been detecting for about 3 months now.Got a Ace 250 for a starter.

Welcome aboard Wheatie43. I got my Ace 250 last March and have had a ball with it all summer. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Get yourself a good camera so you can post pics of all your cool finds. Make it easy on yourself and check out the playgrounds at parks and schools (on weekends, please) where there are wood chips or sand. Sand volleyball courts are fair. Keep an eye open for any sizeable gathering of people.....festivals, company picnics, etc and then check them out the next day. Non trashy areas I usually hunt on jewelry mode with 3-4 bars of sensitivity. In junky areas, use coin mode or set up a custom mode to suit yourself. Now go forth and detect!

Thanks for inviting me.I have lots of pictures to show of my find i'll slowly post them. But today me and my wife went to my freinds farm house.He told me there was a flat spot in the feild that every time he turns the dirt that relics like bottles and old iron peices come up.I have been waiting for him to harvest the beans.We detected for about two hours got lots of articfacs and finally got a good signal about two inchs dug it.Up came a large one cent braided hair coin 1851.the feeling was awesome! After that my wife had to get our son.So I went to my old spot at a retreat complex and found a silver dime 1964. Awesome day
