Hi to ALL, This is my first time on ANY FORUM, so if I make a mistake please disregard. I'm a 74+ year old Retired Army Vet.(Korea/Nam). Have been reading with interest all your inputs. And my thanks to you ALL. Hillbilly, Nancy/Larry Jspoon, Steve H. and all you others. Because of you I just received my New DX-1 probe and Love it. see my only coin story on Whiteselectronics.com (first on in the Feb.,2009 stories K.C.(FL) My 1st detector was a QXT (bad news for me) so I sold it and got an MXT a year and a half ago. Never detected before that. Have read a lot of forums before, but this Finds Treasure Forum is the BEST so far. And yes I'm a native Floridian. Born and raised (somewhat) in the strawberry country(Plant City), and now make my home in the Okeechobee area.
HH and wish I could meet all you guys and gals. Thanks again. floridason (K.C.) P.S. Just got back from Burger King and looking at my change I had a 1927 Buffalo nickel in it. My oldest coin.

Hi ALL, Thanks for the nice welcome I got last night from all of you. Nice to know we have a few veterans (military type) on here too. Hey Bob you may not believe this but I started out in the USMC went (later) into the USAF, and retired US Army with 27+ years and retired in "87.
Went out this AM got 1 silver(a "64 nickle, 1 wheatie) for a total of $2.40 in a tot lot I've been working at for over a year(3 of the nickels) were 4 to 6" down, the rest almost on top. Did get to use my new DX-1 tho. Thanks again ALL and HH. Come down south Nancy/Larry the WX is in the hi 60's now. floridason
