Newbie With Garrett Problem

John LA

New member
Well I'm not really a newbie. I purchased my first Garrett in the 1971 but it's many years
since I used one. Arm cuff seems to have been made for a leg rather than an arm. How doyou keep your arm from moving around in the cuff while hunting?

Add a piece of foam backing too each side of the arm cuff, however I must state should not be needed as you need some room or you are going to have a sore upper arm.

I myself have never found the cuff a problem with arm movement, with any MD unit I myself have used.

Add a couple piece's of sticky back foam on each side until you get a comfy fit.

This seems to be the opposite of what I find with Tesoro. The arm cuff is too small. Wear a winter coat and your arm doesn't fit in the cuff.

I have that problem and am going to experiment with some small diameter bungee cords. Drill a set of holes in the plastic arm cuff, add bungees, hopefully it works.

Try one of those elbow pads that are elastic & have a pad sewn into one side. Slip your arm thru it but stop at your forearm (where the cup fits). Then if you MD in cold weather it'll still fit with no "un" modification.
