Just got my Tejon a few days ago and thought I would pass this info onto other new owners. As you know this machine takes some getting use to.Today I was in wood chips and could not get a negative Ground Balance. With the knob all the way negative the tone would stay positive as I raised and lowered the loop. After a conversation with my Dealer I discovered that on ground with no minerals that is the way it should be. I went to a volley ball court that had minerals and I could get the loop to go quiet as I raised it from the ground.
The site I was at I had worked about a week ago for a couple of hours
with another good machine with 6x10 coil that produced no keeper targets. I had Disc set at 2-3 just enough to kick out nails
Today in the same volley ball court with Mr T I found a few DEEP pennies and lots of targets that Id'd above nickle and a clad quarter next to the net post. Disc 1 was set to the F on foil and Disc 2 was set slightly past 5. I did dig some large nails but got a double BLIP
on them. With the VCO on in pin point I had a good idea how deep the target was before I dug it. No need for a depth meter. Hope this helps.
