Hello All, I am new to this and hope to have as much fun as everyone seems to be. My brother has been detecting for about a year. And everytime we talk, he tells of the good times he is having while taking his daughters to the park and so on(while using his metal detector). Well, I bought myself a Bounty Hunter "Fortune Hunter". I know it's not a million dollar unit but I think it will work for me. I guess you have to start someplace. And I'm starting here. I really like to read about all the "tricks of the trade" so to speak. My luck has it raining outside right now, so I have to wait acouple of days before I get to go huntin. Can't wait. I feel like a kid in the candy store and mom say's NO you can't have no candy right now. Anyhow, I really like this site and will be posting my finds, as soon as I find something. Thanks guy's and gal's for all the Great info I have read on this site. Thanks Joe

I'm new like you. Got Bounty Hunter Tracker IV for Christmas. Been cold and wet and only got to finally try it out
outside today. Tested it with coins, nails, aluminum foil etc. So far have found nails and old odd pieces of iron around
the house. Look forward to this and have hopes of using it down at the NC beach soon. Am in Hillsborough, NC.

Welcome to the forum guys, and a life long addiction! I use the tracker IV's great units for the price, and find lots and lots of goodies! HH regards Nugget.:detecting:

well I am a newbie and am starting out with a bounty quicksilver--so as time goes by and if I am lucky in finding some type of good fortune--then maybe I can go up to the next level of units--until then I just enjoy the outings with good folks--thanks to all who post here with their thoughts--it helps us new guys out
