hello peeps....... just to boast how spoiled for location location location we are here in England, this field in east kent has been walked, worked and fought over for at least 2,500 years. my friend recently had a roman denarius and invited me along.... lo and behold i find a coin from your side of the pond and a king Edward the first silver penny.........but just to prove the grass looks greener.... I hanker for a spot of detecting in Cyprus,Greece or Turkey! theres a lesson there i think! be satisfied with your own backyard............Rick Ryder, Birchington On Sea the Isle of Thanet Kent..........

Both of those Coins are in Very Nice Shape! How old is the smaller one? One of these days, I am going to have to try and make an England Hunt. What a thrill that must be to unearth Coins back into the early A.D.'s and B.C.'s. Thanks for sharing your finds! Continued Success, Good Luck and HH to you on your next outing.

Rick, that is just fantastic...
You folks in the Old Dart have got such a wealth of history,
and I must say that the metal detecting scene over there seems to be a healthy one.
I'm really pleased for you..

I'm afraid our history down here in Oz is just too recent ...

I'm jealous !!!
