Im trying to find a good detector for my first one. I'm in NC Im a Marine and I travel lot so I wanted one that would be able to adjust to diff areas. I really wanted one for relic/coin hunting too.I also didnt want to buy something that I'd outgrow really quick witha budget around 600 range I see where kelly co has, what looks like a good deal on a classic 5ID, I was wondering if they are worth it. Any advice would be appreciated.

My advice on that, is to check a dealer and see what top of the line USED machine he has. This way he can guarantee it, and you can get a good used top of the line machine instead of a new lower model. Just a thought. Anybody else?

[size=medium]the following to consider.:

I got a prizm ,when i should have gotten an MXT first. But that is my Opinion.

LISTEN To MONTE ! He is a wise man and won't steer you wrong.

Whites are good detectors for sure, but if this is your first detector you might consider
an Ace 250 or tesoro as well. Just depends on the money your willing to spend.
I have never used the Prizm but from what I have read I'd probably go
with the Prizm 3 or better.
