I have never detected on the wet sand. I will use an PI detector but will not go into the water. Is a beach scoop needed? Or will a normal shovel do? I guess its a problem with the holes filled up with water every time..

Thanks, Eric.

Eric, you will need to figure this one out, a hand scoop may work, ive never had much luck with a shovel, is this a bay or ocean area or a fresh water area, also what kind of PI do you have and Im sure you may want to get ankle deep or deeper in the future. I feel most detector people end up with some sort of scoop on a long handel.

I have a c scope cs6pi [hard to sell and thats why i will try it] I am located in the Netherlands so I will detect the North sea coast. This detector seems to be good according from what I have heard. I have been thinking of a hand scoop but is it really practical as PI's go deep?

Thanks, Eric.

I hunt the wet sand. I live on Long Island ,New York. It's best to have a scoop in order to sift out sand and find your target. The sand seems to stick to everything and finding your target laying in a clump of sand on the beach will be a little tuff. You should be able to buy a sand scoop for around $40. Good luck!

I use a whites Pi and u will need a long handle scoop for sure ...too much bending with a hand scoop.:stretcher:
A backhoe is even better some targets are real deep lololololol

fieldboy se va usa

Esp. with a Pi machine your gonna be digging a lot so definitely get yourself a long handled scoop. Your back will thank you.
