Newbie question! Depth range... detecting with QD II?

I just want to ask people who got BHQD II what is the particular depth range of qd2...some people say that he can pass after the 10 inch barrier... is it true? and one more question...when there is a big bounch of gold coins ( for example a big tresure :D ) burrowed 1 meter under the soil ( for example again :D ) is the signal stronger? more objects in one place = stronger signal or not?

I would think the QDII would have no problem detecting coins up to 10 inches....It should detect larger objects up to about 2 feet....Yes...the larger the object, the stronger the signal would be...The BH machines have a way of producing the same volume on all signals though, so it would be hard to tell...
Again, this is where I prefer my White's machine.

havent hit the large number of gold coins but have hit a nice (but fake) ring. the signal came in as a bunch of beeps, not just one. imagine like ten coins in a row beeping one right after another.... was just the ring. after i took it out of the ground- no beeps. assume it was the ring.
