Just received my NEW T-2. In two weeks, I'd like to use it in our local Club Hunt. There may be 15 other detectors in the hunt. We'll hunt silver dimes, quarters, pennies/tokens.

> - What should my settings be? I've read on the forum that the T-2's are not the best in competition hunting. Please advise - thanks - Bob C. IL

I would advise you to lower your sensitivity, (but still keep it as high as you can), and raise your disc to at least 40. Then when you are there you can try the seven different frequencies to see which one is best. I think that, along with staying off a little to yourself, is all you can do.
I will be VERY interested to know how it goes because I am facing the same thing in October.
I have been wondering if one could open up the control box and line it with shielding material like you use to shield the body cavity of an electric guitar. I wonder if that would help...

Let me know how it goes..

J
