Hi everyone! I am finally going to be purchasing my first metal detector. I have not made up my mind it is between the Prizm 5g or Prizm 6T. I have some farm areas to search on thanks to family members. I would not be going to the beach anytime soon so that is not a feature I really need. What are any differences between these two detectors? What types of things have any of you found with these metal detectors? Should I invest in headphones or a bigger coil? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You!

I have neither machine but I have handled them at a local dealer. The Prizm 6T has a VDI readout that the Prizm 5G doesn't. If VDI numbers are important to you then the choice between the two models is easy. The 6T also has a backlight for hunting under low light conditions. The 6T was heavier. I was surprised how light the 5G was, almost as light as my Tesoros. You could swing that baby all day. Both appeared to be very solid machines. My advice to you is if there is any way you can get to a dealer then do so.
