newbie interested in tesoros

Hi everybody,
I am completely new to mding. I live in the ozark mountains and would like to know if a silver u max would be a good choice. Plan to look mostly for older coins. Have many old home sites in area dating back to the 1800's. Also would like to detect the numerous fresh water streambeds that have been swimming holes for years. Any advice would be appreciated.

Fresh water stream beds? Tiger Shark can't be beat. Works great in fresh water lakes too! Get a good scoop too! Read the field test for it here:

Gene Scullion the person who wrote that field test is on here as Scully, he is probably the most knowledgeable person on the Tiger Shark as well as most of Tesoros detectors. Do a search for all of his posts. He owns Badger Detectors in Madison, Wisconsin. I was fortunate enough to run into him by phone, he takes the time to sincerely answer all questions. I live in Washington, where are you 2 located?

Tiger Shark can't be beat for fresh water! Hits really hard on gold.

Yup. if water is in the scenario, best to have a machine prepared for it !

One slip will ruin a machine in a heartbeat !
