Thanks for adding me to the forum as a new member. Have just ordered the Garrett AT Pro, with delivery coming end of next week. Prior to that, I have been scanning the forum subjects for a few days looking for intel on the AT Pro. Comments have been very helpful to me while doing my homework trying to decide on the unit. I've never done any dirt fishing before and am excited at getting started. I assume I need to order a pin pointer somewhere along the line? Any recommendations on what unit I should get is appreciated.

Not much else to add here, as I'm so new to the hobby. I'll probably come here often while getting acquainted with the AT Pro.

Thanks

A good friend of mine has the AT pro and loves it. As for a pin pointer, I would suggest the garrett pro pointer (garrett carrot). Good Luck

Welcome! The A T Pro is a fine all around detector, on my 2nd one. As mentioned, the Garrett carrot pin pointer is a very good one. Use small digging tools in parks, school yards and always fill the hole back neatly. Have fun and good luck. HH jim tn

Welcome to the Garrett Forum! I hope you find lots of great things. Please, don't hesitate to ask for help while on your learning curve. There are lots of experiences users here.

Welcome to the forum. Good luck & happy hunting. The pro-pointer will certainly speed up your recoveries and give you more time to detect. Hope you get some water detecting done with the at/pro. It's good on land or water, but I prefer the water myself.
