Just bought my first detector this weekend. Went down to the beach yesterday, found 2 quarters and a dime....yippeeee. A question for anyone, how do I weight the coil to help keep it down in the shallow salt water?
Thanks for any help.

Is this a permanent application? If not then...

You will need some adhesive velcro strips

22 inches of Water hose or any half inch tubing.

2 PVC end caps of a 1/2" size to fit "in" the tubing

Glue for the end caps. CA (Super Glue) works great

Fine Sand - (Fish/Pet Store)

I think you just figured out how to put it on the coil!

I see the tube filled with sand laying around the top of the coil. It is attached with velcro strips (3m has waterproof ones that work great!) or is glued for a permanent application.
