Just purchased MXT300 from Kellyco...havent detected in 25 years when i tried my dads.Watched alot of videos and been following this great forum for awhile.Cant wait for machine to get here and hopefully post some great finds, lots of areas where i live that ive noticed over the years and wished i had a detector..so gonna go hunt them up..will post again after my first few outings and would like to find someone in my area to go out with..in central mass near Athol if anyone close reads this post.

welcome :clapping: your gonna love the mxt..

Thanks..ive read hundreds of forum mesaages in different forums and tons of videos dont think ill go wrong, figured id try 12inch coil as cheaper to buy smaller one after and machine was good price.Just got email with tracking number from kellyco...only one hour after purchase..that was fast..maybe have by end of the week.

You made a great purchase. The MXT is a wonderful all around metal detector and I've said it a hundred times......"I wouldn't trade it for any other machine". Well, maybe a new MXT. I've had mine for 8 yrs. and it's still in tip top shape and believe me, I've put MANY hours/days/years on it. You can pay for your MXT over and over again. It's all up to you. IMHO I think it's the best detector made. Good luck and keep us posted. We love to hear and see finds. HH, Nancy

hi i live on the south shore ,but there is a club calledMASSSACHUSETTS TREASURE HUNTING ASSOCIATION in NEWTON ,that might be helpful to you. good luck JIM

Congrats Curt. the Super 12 (300mm) coil is great in open area's or places with little trash. It is a deep searcher and is my standard coil to use out here in rural PA. I use my 4X6 DD Eclipse coil in area's with lots of trash (many targets). It doesnt seek as deep as th 12 inch coil but "Cuts through the Crap" as they say LOL. Dig all your hits !

Just checked ups tracking and my new mxt 300 is about 50 miles away...feel like a kid in candy store with no money...close but no candy today...well ill get it tomm afternoon and have a few hours to try it out..i will post even if i only get a penny..lol...

Welcome you will find the MXT will serve you well once you get it figured out congrats on the purchase . Look forward to seeing your finds.
