Newbie advice needed
In the next few weeks I will be hunting a farm field near the house. I have dug silver here in the past. The field has lots of shredded aluminum cans. The last time I hunted it the detector I was using would read
 
Those tin can signals will be tough for any machine and I'm afraid that if you discriminate them out you'll surely miss the silver too. If the chunks are everywhere you're going to have your hands full and that nasty "shreel sound" sucks too.
If you can get your hands on a 5" coil ... that would be the trick or your BEST option for this kind of place. I live in Pensacola and most of our parks are ageless like yours and are FULL of beavertails and shredded aluminum that will drive a detector nuts. GOOD LUCK !
