I can't afford a excal right now so i have to use what i can. Just got a whites classic III and have never used a detector before today. I want to go to the beach this weekend to hunt in dry and wet sand. Anyone ever use a whites classic or similar that can give me some tips? It has a black sand switch should i use it for wet sand?

Did it have a manual learn it x's 3 and then play with the blk sand thing / For my unit I use disc on 2 well below preset / leave the freq on preset( unless around other md's) Place the sen below preset about 1100 o'clock this may work for your wet sand. For the dry sand 3:00 for the sen / use the disc ( I use this to find out what is there by using known cut out points, trail and error) as needed ( I dig it all any way) good luck !!gottit!!
