Hello,

I am new to detecting and was curious if anyone currently or has dectected in Germany. I have an older Fisher metal detector and have researched the laws to detecting here. I am a U.S. Soldier Stationed in Heidelberg. I am itching to get started. I have tried to look up sites for Roman Battles, but my German is scetchy at best. I am trying to learn the language and the hobby. Any Help will be appreciated.

Thank You,

Louis

Andreas Meyer is your man, and it so happens he is a Fisher guru.
Andy is one of the shining stars in this hobby, a great fellow.

Here is his US website:

You can also find him posting at one of the other Fisher forum's - which this forum will not allow me to mention. There is also a key figure on a couple of German language sites, but here is how you can reach him in Germany:

Andreas Meyer
Metalldetektoren,
Elztalstr. 33,
56729 Kehrig
Tel: 0162/1086021 u. 02651/7539931 (10 bis 22 Uhr jeden Tag ) 10 - 10 every day

His English is impeccable, by the way, so have no worry if your German isn't up to speed yet.
