Found these at an early 1800's fur trading post yesterday.
Can anyone tell me anything about the "Excelsior" button in the middle? New York? Age? It is 7/8" and says "Superb Imperial Standard" on the back.
The lower, left button is pewter, 7/16",paper thin and 13 stars around the outside and some thing in the center (maybe an 8 point star?). Also has a backmark that is not legible.
