New years coin hunt!

Well-known member
Went out today and used the ace250 and found a 41 wheatie 52 wheatie one 96 quarter , 64 nickel three clad pennies, old butter knife, mason jar led, couple odds and ends! The ace performed flawlessly !

Nice hunt! I love finding those wheaties. They are getting kinda scarce. Wish I could hunt on new years day but the ground is frozen about 6 to 8 inches deep here. It would be like digging a cement parking lot.

Sounds like you had a good time, and glad you were able to get out on New Years day...It has ben unusually warm here on the East Coast.

HH,

Thanks MrGee,I was surprised to find them to I hunted it before but the ace cerry picked it out. Sorry you can't hunt were you live with the frozen ground where do you live? Thanks again,HHH

ThanksGGG, it was windy here still above regular temps here in Ala,I had a blast just getting out to hunt, the ace250 is my sons so I like the garrett line of mders so much that I put a atpro on layway woohoo! Thanks for the kind words! Best of luck HHH!

Nice Hunt! You did better than I did on New Years... I was hitting a middle school that I hadn't hunted and finding some clad when these pesky (kidding, pun intended) kids showed up! So, I left it to them, don't want any problems with parents. I'll finish vacuuming it up in a few. Just glad to get out in the unseasonably balmy 60 degree weather-- geeze. I had a touch of spring fever! I'm thinking about hitting an alley behind some downtown stores along the ravine that used to be Main street before the c1900 floods today. The ground here is softer than usual after two 8" snows and melts, great time to hit packed gravel/dirt areas.

Happy Hunting!

Thanks William, sorry you had to leave from your hunt, I hate when that happens but you did the right thing, best of luck Hank

Thank you Leslie, I get so zoned when I hunt I tune everything out , definetly one with the machine. I hope its a good start to the new year! My fingers are crossed! Thanks again, HHH
