do you guys use the x1 with the machine in pinpoint mode or regular hunt mode? Seems like a recent post was unclear on that. I guess it will come with some directions and I could take the novel approach of actually reading them. I just want to hit the ground running with it.
 
hunt mode. Sometimes if I get close to a target, it will pick it up on the side and I will dig straight down and it will be to the side. Not a problem, just me getting in a hurry. I know a lot of people that use it in pinpoint, but I like to leave it in detect so I know if it nulls it is a nail. Use it both ways, I am sure you will quickly figure out which you like best.
 
I also like to use the probe in discriminate mode and it works really well,it also helps to avoid damaging the finds.Jerry.
