I have finally got my x-terra 70 and some time to use it. Wile fishing a wile back i came across an old bunker in the sand dunes at the mouth of ross river. Townsville. Doing a little research i have found out the area was a U S and later an Ausie AA battery. As a new port road is being bult soon i am trying to search as much ground as possable before the bulldozers bury the lot. Coverd about 10 acres in the last two months, most of the finds are cartrage cases 9mm, 30-08, 45 and 50mm.Dozens of em, as well as san-francesco coke bottles, leggos sauce and ipana tooth paste tubes,as well as a clock key and verious gun tools. The only coins found so far are aussie half penny and penny and a six pence. all near a us 13 star button and two plain buttions from u s coveralls, also found yesterday was a makers plate from PRIESMEYER BROS TRUNK CO oct 26 1940 . A google search reveiled they made cases and trunks for showman as well as baseball teams, the things you learn . Digging history! The site is 30mts from the beach but it is only the steel items coroded, as you will see in the pix. Going again to-moro maby i will find a u s coin yet.

Cool finds...
I just got a chance to get my new X-Terra 70 out last night an I love it.
I'm finding all kinds of things in a "hunted out" school yard.
