new with excal and setting please help

i was hunting a fresh water lake the other day. everytime i would hunt in disc the detector would go crazy. i turned down the sensitivity and it did nothing. it only quit when i got in the deeper water and the detector was underwater. i acutally had to hunt in pinpoint mod till it actually quit. i actually found a few things. is there something i am doing wrong. if someone could help i would apprieciate it ty.

this machine is the new excalibur 2 if that help. the other thing is the connection to the coil bolt was loose which i found wierd.

Please inform the distance of underwater

hunt in pinpoint mod till it actually quit, please check the sensitivity of the detector

In different environments you need use different metal detector

and currently we have over 20 models which can be used under the water / sea for different deepth
