New Whites Model In December?

New member
:whites: I just read on another forum that there may be a new Whites model introduced in December. My suspicion is that it is just another Prism, but I dont know for sure. The guy just said he tested a prototype and it has tone ID and is real quiet and smooth running. I checked the Whites official website and there is nothing new there as of yet. I did notice that they have taken the Pro Series completely off:cry: I want to get another new detector but I dont want a Prism because I have a lot of accessory coils that I cant use with them. I hope they are coming out with a new line of Classics. That would be awesome:clapping:Sorry for rambling a bit but I am just excited. HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM OKLAHOMA DIRTFISHER!

I think they're done with the classics.I have a prizm 5 and the detector is very light.Feels like your swinging a pinpointer. It also is very easy to program and goes very deep for a mid priced detector.Personally I don't think they need any more Prizms.I would like to see the XLT/XLpro replaced myself.Something in that range with a Prizm's style body.DAve

but i e-mailed Jimmie Sierra site a while back to ask about a coil like the Hotfoot for the 6.59hz detectors and was e mailed back that the 6.59 detectors were being phased out and new detectors will have different frequencies. If true and we buy new models looks like another whole batch of accessory coils are in the works. I guess we have to wait and see. HH Bill

I talked to my whites dealer and he said that they are comming out with a new model. I think he said in the spring. He said the price range would be of that around the mxt. Thats all he knew about it. If I learn more I will let you guys know. HH

Didn't know you were swinging a Prizm 5. I had considered a 4 or 5 for playing in the parks, etc. but am curious what White's is about to unleash on the public. And what coils it will use. I understand it will have White's latest ground tracking so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I've got a DFX and a prizm 5 for my kid.The 5 works great, easy to program and very light.I think the new one comming out will be an upgraded Prizm 5.Dave

that the next unit would be the Prizm 6T.

There's a recent post on a forum that says they had some problems and scrapped it. Who knows?

Yea,I know you usually swing the DFX. The"new" detector was being tested by Greg (Transbay?) and according to him would be released probably in December. Maybe a Prizm with GB? All the manufacturers seem to be working what we now call the "mid-range" market and trying to keep the operation pretty simple. Like I said, all we can do is wait I guess. Hope you had a good Holiday.

I think we will see a multi-purpose P.I. from Whites in the coming year to compete with the likes of the C-Scope 8Pi.
