New water proof carry bag for Sov GT

Got my Christmas pres today a Maxpedition Fatboy G.T.G. Versipack fantastic bag lots of room for everything i need on hunts plus it is waterproof
1000 Denier Nylon thread coated with Teflon, water just beads up and rolls off i keep my extra batteries it has a thermos bag on the right side i keep hot coffee 32 ounce ! cell phone a few knifes some food it sure beats walking all the way back to my truck to get something, it is very lite and well balanced on the shoulder the GT control box fits prefect in either front or back compartments when closed or zippered keep,s everything out that could mess-up my box , plus it has still enough room for all my finds and junk a big zip up pouch , I will put a cable clam in the bottom of the bag because it is rigid for the coil wire , it worked great this morning on the beach where i found that gold bracelet i took a few pics of the bag . Jim, that is a real nice looking setup you have there. Will you be putting a cable clamp on the detector itself, or inside the bag? Would love to see more pics when you finish the project.

Hi Bill thanks the bottom of the bag it ridid enough to put a cable clam just 4 small stainless screws the clam is waterproof . this winter ill have it done . Ill also use it in those huge farm fields ever walk back on a 100 acre farm to your truck or car to get a cold drink on a hot summer day ?? not any more lol .HH Jim

I was thinking of putting my control box in my dogs backback then have him walk along in front of me. I am going to try and see how it works.

I love that idea! Great looking dog. Just make sure you don't do it in the wrong cities, where the animal "rights" people get their nose out of joint for people even owning pets. I'm not one for the abuse of animals and think people should be punished for real abuse of pets, but on the other hand I realize that we ain't surviving on plants either. By the way- I recently visited a zoo that I hadn't been to in over 20 years. I was shocked to see the bears and tigets in small enclosures pacing back and fourth going out of their mind. I thought we had done away with that kind of thing and gave them real big interesting enclosures these days. I won't be going back...

PS- DeepDiger, I like the bag idea. Very cool...
