Bill Ladd posted a Part 2 video using the iron audio feature on the AT Gold around another old colonial site. He found a 300 year old coin! Its a great video, on his Youtube channel... sorry I don't know how to do vid links.

Yup, thats it. It is amazing how the At's are finding good stuff amidst the iron, stuff that other detectors are missing that don't have the iron audio capability. You have to appreciate that Bill Ladd owns and uses other high end detectors and yet, he is quite obviously excited about what the AT Gold can do in the kind of sites he likes to hunt. That says alot about the AT Gold, in my opinion. I don't own one yet, but of the two I think I am going to get the AT Gold, not so much because I will be hunting gold but because it has the true all-metal mode which can be used in conjunction with Iron audio, which is a killer combination I think. Can't wait to own one, just need to save some more and take care of some higher priorities first. In the mean time, I read the posts on this forum and watch the vids like this one.

I sure get a kick out of Bill - it's hard not to grab your machine and head out for a hunt after watching him, his enthusiasm is contagious.
hihosilver: I have an AT Pro and an AT Gold - the ATG with 5x8 coil is my favorite for it's ability to sift through amazing amounts of iron and other trash. That colonial site would be a clean site for me, and this detector has made it possible to pull out hundreds of targets from an area of old ruins, floods,and land fill that I previously thought were unhuntable.
