Great Video had fun watching it, I'm happy for you with that 1942 find, I've had my Mxt300 for 2 weeks now still learning it.Congrats on your finds.
 
Dutch, I believe the triangular pieces are what we call roof flashing trim. Probably trimmed off from the duct work around the house. I have found a lot of this material around old houses particular those with metal roofs. Enjoyed the video, keep them coming. Jerry
