Bill,
It cannot get much better than this clip. Thanks! I live in a Treasure hunting paradise in central Florida but that colonial hunting looks to be real exciting. You made my day 2 days in a row. Here's to "diggin it"! Larry

Bill, I enjoyed the video but readers should know that we have to dig up lots of junk to get those Colonial goodies around cellar holes....at least here in New Hampshire! There are some good things to find such as buttons and coins and the occasional silver, but early settlers were mostly poor and did a fair amount of bartering. That left few coins around for us future hunters to find. Anyhow, your clip gave me hope to find a covented Fugio copper around a cellar hole. I vow to keep looking...one hole at a time. Ron

But I always try to stress that this is an "edit", thanks to YouTube only allowing 10 min, low quailty video's......
My DVD has this epiosde, and many other's like it that are 20- 30 min. episodes, showing everything....shotgun shells, iron lids, more scenery.....etc. Heck, there were some nice Colonial buttons & stuff that didn't even make this edit......
Thanks for watching,
Bill
PS. So if anybody wants to watch full epiosdes with all the finds.......My first DVD is done & they are $10. shipped ;)

Bill, how do we order a DVD? $10 shipped is pretty reasonable. Thanks, Ron

Great finds , love the video and the opening music, and what was that back ground noise I herd? It almost sounded like a motor cycle or a small block stick shift engine.

Keep them coming,

El

& I think that was a loud motorcycle cutting into our exit speech.......
That was very unusual, as the site is usually VERY quiet out there....

Bill

Nice video(s) Bill. I haven't read all of your posts nor seen all of your videos but I am curious as to how you get from A to Z. IOW, what kind of research do you do? Who do you invite to accompany you on the hunts? Do you invite detectorists from this or any other forum? How do you prepare for snake bites if there are poisonous snakes where you hunt? I remember walking through native Pennsylvania woods and it never occurred to me that I might step on a copperhead! How do you think a BH Land Star would do in your neck of the woods? Do you have extra shovels for visitors? Where in New England do your hunt (I'm not asking for exact locations, just a state or a general area and don't worry I'm not going to sneak in your areas 'cause I'm in NYC)? And similar questions.

I have invited guests from other states in the past from Findmall. But, this is usually rare (not 'cause I'm trying to protect sites, but that I have a 9 month old now and don't get to entertain visitors much now). I also get asked alot, so it's hard to accomodate every request. Nowadays with a family I usually only take out folks I know.....But, my first DVD features an epiosde where I took out a guy from Texas to a cellar site in search of a colonial copper.....
Thankfully we have no copperheads here to worry about. Our main concern is Ticks & Lyme disease that half of the tiny deer ticks carry. That may be worse than snakes.....
I'm sure that bounty hunter would do fine. Cellar holes are loaded with targets at all different depths......
We hunt all over New England, we have cellar holes from CT to Maine........If your in NY, a short drive into CT or upstate would be a way to find some cellar holes I'm sure.....
HH,
Bill
