New Vaquero

I just got a new Vaquero after having a ACE 250 for a couple of years. The question I have is I have gone over a Field and a few foundations should I go over them again with the Vaquero to see if I get anymore?? i have been over them about 5 times and found a couple of coins(Standing quarter shield nickle).
Thanks.

Sorry I should have said I found them with the ace.

I would! I hit my yard around the entrances, side walk and where I know the old cloths line was again with every detector I get and will still turn up the odd relic or coin. Overlap the coil sweeps, come at the areas from different directions and good luck!

The v is a deep seeker. So yes, supertune the v .and go over.Listen for faint signals.Low disc setting. You may be surprised. The v with the 9x8 can get some good depths when ground balanced, and supertuned.:O

Yeah, go back over it again and again. I like to hunt a location with different detectors.

Going to the same spot is handy because you already know the ground, know where you had trouble, and now you get to see if the Vaquero really opens things up for you.

Just be sure to get the ground balance right....

with a big YES, go back to those places :)

good luck and enjoy the machine, fun-tastic detector!

First...GRATZ on the huge upgrade.

Now a couple questions for ya and some tips.

When there with the ace did you remove trash as you hunted or just cherry picked looking for coins?
I ask because that would help me decide on how much Disc to use and how much time to spend hitting
certain areas. If I were you (because you've already gotten some good things from there) I would
take it slow and use hardly any Disc and dig every signal you get. At the old foundations find where the
door was and then locate the spring house or creek. Work that in a straight line SLOWLY. You will find
much more in that area. Same with the outhouse if you can find it. Hitting fields is fun when you are finding
items but can make you sloppy in your search technique because there is so much ground to cover.

If you have any issues questions or concerns please feel more than welcome to ask.

Thanks for all the replies. When I used the ace I would say I removed trash about 90 % of the time from the field and a lot of times from the foundations. Some of the foundations it would take me weeks if not more to clear all the iron from but i do my best. The thing with the ace is that sometimes in that mess it would "Lockup" as in just start jumping and beeping till I hold it up or turn it off. I am hoping the Vaquero will not. A lot of Houses around here show up on 1860 to 1946 maps then they had the big fire(Maine) and a lot burned down so you have a lot of nails and such.
