New v3i user... loving it.

I finally got to go out with a couple of people detecting as a group. I noticed one problem. They wanted me to ID their targets before they dug them. It seems that the target ID on the v3i is pretty good:thumbup:

I am up to around 20$ in clad and half a dozen silver coinage... and a silver spoon. Been pulling some good relics also. I learned two things after buying the v3i.

1. Whites has the best service in the world.
2. Dont be afraid to mess with the programs.

I changed coils to the 4x6 and was able to recovery 50 clad coins out of a spot that I could not find anything more in. Recovery delay to 40 and sat to 30 with a 5hz and 3 frequency. I have so much iron in the soil on this 120 year old homestead that I could sell iron by the ton.

I have to get my 1965 dime on a better scale. For those that dont know they minted some 1965 and 1966 in silver and the demand a high premium. 9000$-20,0000$

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on all your great finds......

Your doing good:thumbup:, and that 4x6 is a great coil in the trash areas and don't be afraid to dig the solid vdi's , gold can be any where from 0 to 50.

Way to go Burlbark.

Welcome to the forum.
and thanks for the ongoing help with the age of my silver ring.

Its really cool that other MDrs were asking for your help with the V3i. What were they using?

One was using a bounty hunter 202 and the other was using a Ace 250. I know they are not in the same class but it was interesting. It actually got pretty annoying because I would have to walk over and leave an area that I was working. I eventually just told them sorry I couldnt do it anymore and they would need to buy a v3i:wave: I would just wave at them and say start digging. This was of course after checking a dozen targets for them.

Great finds, I too am a new v3i swinger. I've been struggling with the new machine and THANKS to V3Rob, Larry,Cybersage,Robert K,Yazoo and Mike H I've finally scored some good silver and IH's. Taking bits and piece's of what these guys are saying, I was able to put together an awesome program for my area and will post finds soon.

Thanks again guy's.....HH, DD

I all most forgot, Thank you GpSnoopy. Read the whites post and it cleared a few things that I understood up.

This machine offers more than this simple minded person can comprehend.
