New Toy

Promised Bubba and the General I would post some photos of my new toy. Well, I guess this would be my version of Elson's dune buggy.

It's a 1921 Harley-Davidson Model J boardtrack racer replica. This is from the days long before the paved banked tracks we have today. They raced these early bicycle like 1000cc motorcycles, with no brakes, little suspension, at speeds approaching 100 mph on high banked speedways up to a mile long made entirely out of rough sawn wooden planks. It was one of the largest spectator sports of the 20s, until racer/spectator fatalities forced a switch to dirt tracks.

Very nice toy like the old bikes thanks for showing us. Howard
