Hummm. FISKARS makes good scissors.. Or if I remember
right anyway... I think we have some fiskars sewing type
scissors around here somewhere... They are pretty good.
Yea, you can get a lot of the stuff pretty cheap if you
hunt around. I got a digger with my machine, but it was a
cheap import model, and I broke it in no time. "I notice
they changed to a better solid digger since then".
But I bought one over at home depot for like 5 bucks or
whatever it was. It's one piece, and I doubt I'll be breaking
it quite as quick. It also has a handy measuring tape stamped
in the shovel... I bought a long handled digger at the dollar
store, and thought maybe it would hold up, but after using it,
I can tell I will break it too, if I use it like I usually do.
Too bad, cuz I really like it otherwise... Has a long wood
handle, good for deep holes.
Cheap diggers just don't hold up.
But I actually use my probes most of the time, even if I
have to dig around... I use the diggers fairly rarely.
I've got a belt holster thing that can hold all that stuff.
I've also added extra foam tube on the handle all the way
from the control box to the stand end. It's all one long foam
handle now.
I have foam rubber stand extentions that clip on those to
make the machine sit better, but won't jam into me, being soft.
Have dual clip on lights for nightime. And also an optional
foam tube I can put on the tube below the control head down
to about a foot above the coil. I can use that if I'm getting real
dirty, and don't want to get the dirt on the machine every time
I grab it. Have a yellow rain cover now. It fits on the control
head, and has a clear plastic window that covers the front.
Recently got the extra coils, so I'm fairly well set I guess.
If I had a digi camera, I'd snap a pix of my "pimped out"
ace 250, but don't have one yet... I've got about $440 wrapped
up in it all as of right now. But I don't really consider that
too bad, being I have three coils, and also have the V2 pinpointer
included in that price. Gotta pay to play I guess...
