Hello I'm new to this
i went to the the park and i know it was not much but I found 13 cents.
I guess that is better then nothing.

any one know the Laws about going to old forts?

Hi Rusty...

I do not know about your state's specific laws, but usually any battle site which contain permanent structures is OFF LIMITS...If there is an office at the site, it nenver hurts to ask for permission though...Most federal and State land is either off limits, or requires you pay a fee for a permit...you always want to check with your local authorities or the office at the site before detecting...
In any regard, welcome to the addiction, and tell us a little about yourself...what detector do you use? you might also want to do a search n the web for metal detecting clubs in Alabama, or in your local area...

Happy Hunting,
