Howdy;
I live in Tallahassee Florida. Been detecting above and underwater for 20+ years. Have Whites XLT and Minelab Explorer. Use Brownies hookah 5.5 hp with lines for 2 divers. Have 38 foot trimaran sailboat that is my transportation and stay aboard while I travel.
Leaving 4th week of March "this month" for a search near Cedar Key on west coast, the Florida keys, Shark river on the SE part of Florida, over to the Bahama's ending up at the Cay Sal Bank (you'll need to look that one up probabally). By the way if you do Cay Sal take plenty of fire power.
Favorite place is Anegada. Best treasure unrecovered I know of is still in Belize but folks there will kill ya. Take plenty of money and American beer to pay off the right folks outside the U.S.
The secret to success is connections with the locals, local fishermen and local pilots who can spot wrecks/outlines from the air.
When I hunt on land I hunt where construction is beginning in historical areas of any town. Makes finding good stuff easy. Next best is seeking out and talking to the oldest person "native" that you can find. I go to nursing homes. Might sound odd but they love the company and will give you priceless info and tell great stories.
